Review
Zodiac Academy is a book that was entirely out of my wheelhouse, and I was pleasantly surprised. Zodiac Academy will not be a series for everyone. I have seen a lot of bad reviews for this book and a lot of fantastic reviews, and I can understand both opinions. Again, this is a series I don't recommend for everyone. I think you will have to be a very specific reader to enjoy this.
Zodiac Academy: The Awakening is a dark and borderline taboo romance series that I think will make many people uncomfortable. I, however, have come to realize that I enjoy dark romance, especially when combined with fantasy. Please check trigger warnings before picking this up.
Darcy and Tory were great main characters. I enjoyed reading from both their perspectives.
The fantasy aspects of this world were interesting. This book has elemental magic, shapeshifting, mythical creatures,
and of course, zodiac signs. Book one did a great job setting up the world and the mystery.
Overall, I had a great time reading this! I can't wait to read the rest of the books in the series and the spin-offs.
