Review

I REALLY enjoyed this book. Survive the Night was a frightening and dark read that gripped me until the very end. The pages practically turn themselves! However, I think the level of enjoyment you get out of this book will depend on how much you enjoy the twists. I think the twists are predictable for some readers, while some readers will be taken entirely by surprise. One of the plot twists seemed to be thrown in there just for the hell of it. It didn’t make much sense to me.

I recommend this book to new thriller readers, movie lovers, and people who love a quick-read standard thriller.

What I liked:

  • I LOVED Charlie as the main character.

  • I enjoy an unreliable narrator.

  • The entire story takes place over 24 hours.

  • Action is Fast-paced.

  • The format of the chapter names (they are like a screenplay).

What I didn’t like:

  • I went into this book expecting more horror and less mystery.

  • It didn’t have a lot of slasher moments.

  • Some of the plot twists.
