Review

Paradise Club had all the things I love in a slasher novel. It was action-packed, gory, fast-paced, and a blast to read. One thing that surprised me about this book was the characters. I did not expect to be as invested in the characters' outcomes as I was.

At the Paradise club, there are serial killers in a purge-like event with thousands of civilians running for their lives trying to escape these lunatics (my favorites were the clown twins). Tim Meyer made me feel like I was in the story, and I was expecting to be slaughtered every time someone turned a corner. Reading this book was a heart-pounding experience.

I did not expect the twist at the end. This ending was not what I expected, and in ways, not what I wanted to happen. It was crazy and heart-wrenching. There wasn’t a longing for more story. Meyer did a great job giving a satisfying ending.
