Review

OK I have a LOT of thoughts on this book...

Wow! I did not expect to enjoy this book as much as I did. I am not usually a romance reader, but I had a ton of fun with this. Ice Planet Barbarians was a book that I didn’t know if I wanted to read, but the new cover design drew me in. Overall, I enjoyed this book. I will definitely be continuing with the series.

Ice Planet Barbarians was a speedy read, and I highly recommend it if you are in a reading slump.

The beginning starts with an alien abduction, and the first 30 or so pages read like a horror novel. That works for me because that is my usual genre, but I know this won’t work for many people.

I like that we had multiple points of view! Especially Vektal's.

Now for what didn't work for me. The ending felt WAY too rushed. I could have used 50 more pages of the plot to flesh out the story a bit more. The rushed ending made the overarching plot feel a bit weak. Even though I know the main point of a romance book is the relationship, I thought the plot devices just felt a bit too convenient.

Ice Planet Barbarians has descriptive and spicy scenes, so if you don’t enjoy that in your books, I don’t recommend this for you. However, if you DO, then I definitely recommend this fun, sexy book. I never thought I would find blue aliens good-looking, but here I am, ready to pick up book 2!
