Halloween Books Still On My TBR

It is November 1st and in the blink of an eye Halloween has come to an end. It is my favorite holiday of the year and that definitely impacts my TBR. The number of Halloween horror books are endless and of course I didn't get to everything I wanted to read. Here are just a few of the books that I didn't get to. Some I will read in November and others will have to wait till 2024.

The Festering Ones by S.H Cooper

"Faith York was a young girl when she saw her father dragged into the ground by a spider-armed woman, never to be seen again. Twenty years later, the events of that day continue to haunt her, and her need for answers has only grown stronger with time. After her estranged mother's death forces her to return home, old wounds are reopened and Faith finally decides to face her demons. What started as a search for closure soon pits her against a shadowy cult known as The Gathered and the eldritch beings they worship. With reality becoming more blurred by the day and the thousand eyes of an alien deity fixed on her, Faith must decide if the dark secrets of White Crow Mountain are really worth losing herself over."

All Hallow's Eve by Richard Laymon

"The Sherwood house has been deserted since the horrific killing of a local family in the sleepy town of Ashburg. When invitations to a mysterious party to be held there are sent out, nobody is particularly surprised - after all, everyone wants to party in a house of death on Allhallow's Eve."

That Night In The Woods by Kristopher Triana

"When Jennifer receives a message from Scott Dwyer after twenty years without contact, her first reaction is one of excitement. Scott was her first love. Now in her forties and in the middle of a divorce, nostalgia for her youth gets the better of her.

Scott invites Jennifer to his house in Redford, the town she grew up in. It’s a place she’s tried to put behind her, for not all childhood memories are sunny. When she accepts Scott’s invite, she struggles with mixed feelings, especially when she learns of the death of Steven Winters, one of her childhood friends.

Scott invites three people from their past to honor Steven’s memory—Corey, Traci, and Mark. But the group is more than old friends. They share a dark secret that has troubled them for decades. Now it’s time to face their traumatic pasts. Together, they must unravel the mystery of what happened in the patch of forest behind Scott’s house, a place once known as Suicide Woods."

The Werewolf of Fever Swamp by R.L. Stine

"There is something weird happening in Fever Swamp. Something really horrible. It started with the strange howling at night. Then there was the rabbit torn to shreds. Everyone thinks Grady's new dog is responsible. After all, he looks just like a wolf. And he seems a little on the wild side. But Grady knows his dog is just a regular old dog. And most dogs don't howl at the moon. Or disappear at midnight. Or change into terrifying creatures when the moon is full. Or do they?"

The Curse of The Mummy's Tomb by R.L. Stine

"Gabe just got lost--in a pyramid. One minute, his crazy cousin Sari was right ahead of him in the pyramid tunnel. The next minute, she'd disappeared. But Gabe isn't alone. Someone else is in the pyramid, too. Someone. Or some thing.Gabe doesn't believe in the curse of the mummy's tomb. But that doesn't mean the curse isn't real. Does it?"
