Garlic and The Witch Review

This is the second book in a series! If you haven't read Garlic and The Vampire start there!

Synopsis

" Garlic loves spending time with Witch Agnes, Carrot, and her new friend, the Count, who has proven to be a delightful neighbor to the village of vegetable people rather than a scary vampire. But despite Agnes’s best attempts to home-brew a vegetarian blood substitute for Count, the ingredient she needs most can only be found at the Magic Market, far from the valley.

Before she knows it, with a broomstick in hand, Garlic is nervously preparing for a journey. But Garlic is experiencing another change too—finger by finger, she appears to be turning human. Witch Agnes assures her that this is normal for her garden magic, but Garlic isn’t so sure that she’s ready for such a big change. After all, changes are scary…and what if she doesn’t want to be human after all?" Via Amazon

Review

What an adorable story!

Just like the first book, Garlic must go on a scary, yet exciting, adventure to help her friends. This time though she is going through some big changes that give her a lot to think about.

This book is like a warm hug. I don’t have one bad thing to say about it. It is no secret that I loved Garlic and the Vampire earlier this year. This is the perfect sequel. The artwork is beautiful, and the characters are all so cute and wholesome. It was the perfect palate cleanser between horror books.

Another bonus is Garlic and the Witch has some of the best anxiety representation out there.

Honestly this graphic novel series leaves me a bit speechless. I need more cozy graphic novels by this author!

I recommend this book to anyone, and I will be talking about it till the end of time!
