General Thoughts

This is currently my favorite adult horror manga. These five volumes were absolutely fantastic, and weird, and horrifying. This is the most intense psychological horror book, both novel and manga. It keeps getting more disturbing and is a struggle to continue to read it. This series definitely is not for the faint of heart. There are several things though that put this manga above the rest for me.

  1. The art- The art style fits this manga so well. This illustrator's ability to push the story forward without words is genius. The images are the most terrifying part of this series.

  2. Easy to follow - This story is easy to follow from volume to volume. Even though I took a break between volumes 4 and 5 it was very easy to just pick up where I left off.

  3. Story stays engaging - This story continues to have new twists and turns, and each feels more horrific than the last. This story is full speed ahead 24/7 and it never feels boring.

  4. Lastly, I have no idea where this story is going. I feel like there is no point in trying to predict where this story will end because I have been totally surprised by everything so far.

Who would I recommend this book to? People who enjoy extreme horror novels. People who are getting into or love horror manga.

Should horror fans put this on the top of their “to read” piles? 1000% yes but please look up trigger warnings!
