Review

I listened to After the People Lights Have Gone Off on audiobook. This book was such a great surprise! The narrator was also perfect and easy to listen to.

Short story collections can be a hit or miss for me, and this one was a hit! I enjoyed most of the stories in this anthology. Some had confusing finishes, but most had great endings.

After the People Lights Have Gone Off included everything from hauntings to monsters. I don't want to give too much away because I think it is best to go into this reading experience blind like I did.

My favorite stories were Welcome to the Reptile House, Xebico, Second Chances, and Solve for X. There are fifteen stories in total.

Here is how I rated all of the stories in the collection.

"Thirteen" - 4

"Brushdogs" - 3

"Welcome to the Reptile House" - 5

"This Is Love" - 5

"The Spindly Man" - 5

"The Black Sleeve of Destiny" - 5

"The Spider Box" - 3 - Animal Death

"Snow Monsters" - 2

"Doc’s Story"- 4

"The Dead Are Not"- 4

"Xebico"- 4.5

"Second Chances"- 5

"After the People Lights Have Gone Off"- 2

"Uncle"- 4

"Solve for X"- 5
